Council carries carbon neutral target motion unanimously

The council carried item 4, "Achieving Council's Carbon Neutral Target", unanimously. The chair moved the item with an amendment.
The chair told the meeting the council was the first in Australia to fully divest from fossil fuels and the first to be 100 per cent powered by renewable energy.
The chair said the council is on track to be gas-free and to have a fully electric fleet by 2031.
A further amendment was incorporated during debate. It asks for additional information to be included in a later report to the council.
