Fire and Rescue NSW reports on 59-61 Kensington Road, Summer Hill and 2A Brown Street, Ashfield were received by council. The decision means the mandatory reports on the two properties are now formally before the council, with no further action required at this meeting.

The councillor said more time was needed because the report touches on multiple council resolutions.

The deferral was to the October meeting.

Councillor D’Arienzo moved amendments that future quarterly reports on the Major Residential Development Panel be authored by the general manager and include analysis of process bottlenecks, action plans and implementation timelines, as well as post-DA survey results.

Councillor D’Arienzo said the changes would elevate executive accountability for housing delivery.

The chair declared the meeting closed.
