The council heard a resident call for additional trees on St Mary's Street in Camperdown, and two motions related to parking permits were discussed. A motion to change the way the council classifies parking schemes and issues permits to tradies was also heard.

Anthony Misford of Ashfield told the council that residents wanted trees planted in the parking lane rather than the footpath, because footpaths are narrow and there is significant infrastructure under the road. He said about eight residents had discussed the desire for additional trees on the block.

Misford thanked councillors Clay and Atkins for meeting residents on site. He also spoke about parking, saying the draft active transport strategy was difficult to read and that residents were concerned they would be classified as an area of very high parking demand, which would prevent parking on either side of the street.

The council also heard about a motion to review trade and work zone permits, with concerns that tradies who live and work in the area have been forgotten in the draft parking strategy.

A later item concerned events at the Pride Centre. A councillor said the amendment made clear that doing more at the Pride Centre does not take away from other events at libraries and aquatic centres, and that the council intends to continue making diversity visible across the Inner West, not just during Mardi Gras and Pride Months.

The amendment was incorporated into the primary motion and the motion was carried unanimously. The meeting closed at 9:56 pm.
