Inner West Council has voted to treat St Peters as its own exhibition item, separating it from the rest of a package of amendments. The change came during debate on the fourth item on the agenda, before the meeting moved to a confidential session.
The amendment was moved after a councillor said St Peters should be dealt with on its own rather than as part of the wider group.
Before the vote, a councillor asked the General Manager to confirm that councillors' conflict declarations reflected the advice they had received from council officers about the investigation areas and their obligations. The General Manager said the declarations had been checked again and confirmed.
When the question was put, the council carried the motion. The St Peters item was split out, with the remaining items and amendments to apply as proposed. No further detail on the amendments themselves was read out in the excerpt.
Earlier, the council concluded business on the first item, Our Fairer Future Plan 2. A councillor confirmed that this concluded the business in relation to item one.
"Can I ask for confirmation that that concludes the business in relation to item one"
The council then moved to the second item on the agenda, which required a resolution to move into Committee of the Whole for a confidential session. The move was moved by Councillor Smith and seconded by Councillor Carlisle, and the chair declared it carried. Mr Sears was asked to leave the room for the confidential session.
The broadcast recommenced later. The chair then declared the meeting closed, saying it concluded the business of the agenda.
"That concludes the business of the agenda this evening."
